​​​​Sam founded Signal Rock Capital, where he focuses on finding great businesses, doing the legwork to understand them inside and out, and working closely with owners and teams to carry their businesses forward.

Prior to Signal Rock, Sam was an investor at L2 Capital, a family office based in Devon, PA and Miami, FL.
​
Prior to L2, he advised business owners on buying and selling companies as an M&A investment banker at Prestwick Partners in Minneapolis. Sam started his career in Riveron’s M&A group, an advisory platform backed by Kohlberg & Company, and in public accounting at KPMG.

He serves as a Board Member and Treasurer of Bridges to Learning, a nonprofit focused on providing education for children in rural Vietnam.
​
Sam holds a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from the University of Minnesota.
​​
Outside of work, you’ll find him reading on the beach, playing pickup basketball, flying airplanes, or cheering on his hometown Minnesota Timberwolves.
